Friday, June 3, 2011

I've been out of the blogging world for a few months.

Been kinda busy having a baby and getting gallbladder surgery.

Now, all that is over, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy - Nicolas Jacob on the 18th of March.

We feel so blessed to have 2 beautiful kids.

( Updated pictures to come. )

Started working again in the new hospital.

It is ginormous and clean.

While i was on mat leave, i did some online shopping.

One of the big ticket items that i got was the Sizzix Pro and I love it!

I just need more time to play with it.

It is just huge and makes big big everything.

I mean just the machine itself is soo big!

I don't buy the dies in sizzix not unless they are on clearance or they have a promo.

I bought the machine and most of my dies from this website called Cut at home.

They have limited selections but they are 40% off.

I start posting projects very soon.

Thanks for stopping by.

12 x 12 layouts

Here's a 12 x 12 layout of my daughter's 2009 pictures.
I had them printed as a collage at walgreens and just cut them and arranged them accordingly.
I also used my sizzlits alpha letters called Round about, which is my favorite font.

This next one was inspired by Susan Weinroth's layout.
I just love her layouts! Click here to go to her website.

Stay tuned for more projects.

Another Penny Black Stamp

I posted this rubber stamp in my previous blog.
I used a different printed paper on the pots, though.

This one is another PBI stamp that i wanted to highlight.
Isn't it just one of the cutest?
Used it as a cover of a perpetual calendar I gave out.

This gives you a little of an overall view.

This is the group picture of the hostess presents
that i gave this afternoon for the shower.

This is the last post on hostess or baby shower treats.
Finally, they've all been blogged.

On to our next project.
I think the next one would be a birthday one.

Have a good one.

Baby Shower Hostess details

Here's a notepad that I got from the dollar store and just pumped
it up with scrapbook scraps.
I used the paper tole technique were you stamp the image multiple
times and just layer as desired.
I just looks like it jumps from the page.
I used a penny black Inc stamp, one of my favorite brands.
The mice i colored with SU Watercolor pencils and everything else is colored with copics.

I gave them to my 2 friends who hosted my baby shower this afternoon.
They loved it!
I'm glad.

So excited to make some more, I have a birthday that I'm planning for.

BTW, will post another stamped image with the same technique later tonight.

Have a great weekend!

Updates and a Card

Good morning friends.
I have an OB appt. but its really raining crazy outside, i'm not sure if I wanna go.
I'm thinking about it over some coffee.
It's really cold and wet and scary.
Hmmmmm.

I was able to update my blog lists and my daily doses.

Here's another card for you.

This is a Whipper Snapper designs stamp.
It is a good size stamp too, it filled the entire front of the card.
Did some embossing on the green card stock too.
Hope you like it.

Happy a great and sunny day!

Valentine Goodies

Good day everyone.
Today I will be sharing some valentine treats that I made this season.
Hope you like it.
This first one is an SU Sizzix box die that was made into a mini coffee cup holder.
Super Cute.
I would like to give credit to angie for creating this project.
You can check her website by clicking here.

This next one is a SU box and envelope die.
I also used an SU heart puncher and covered it with acetate to make a window.

The top one is just another treat bag using cello with treats.
I just made a topper from the top note die and embossed it with swiss dots folder.
Used heart and label punch from SU as well.

I hope this inspires you guys this valentines season.

Stampin Up Inspired Card

Good morning friends.
Here's another card that was inspired by the front page of the current Stampin Up Catalog.
I just love the quilted look.
It's plain cute.

I used a Papertrey Ink Sentiment and a mulberry flower from I am roses.
The papers are from my stash from years ago.

I hope this inspires you to send a card to someone special this valentines season.

Mish Mash Inspired Projects

I have been inspired by this paper crafting artist for 2 years now and I am a Big fan.
Her name is Michelle Wooderson and click here for her blog.
She's amazing!
Check out her work, you're gonna love it!

So i challenged myself to create embellies inspired by her work
and here's what i have come up with so far.

PS.
Sorry bout the poor lighting.
Will try to study some techniques to make it better.

Baby Shower Giveaways

January was a busy month for me.
It was prep time for baby shower planning etc.
Also it was time for me to catch up on some OT at work, so I did.
This then prompted the early-er maternity start date.

These are the giveaways we will giving the guests after the Baby shower on Feb 19th.
I've made two versions, one with Hershey's Kisses and the other one with nuggets.

I think they're cute!
I hope our guests like them.

I'm back!

I know i have not been able to blog since we moved.
I am sorry to my 5 followers, if you guys are still there.
I've been working and been very busy for the past 9 months.
I am happy to declare that I now have time.
Yes I do.
And for the next 4 months you are going to hear and see a lot from me.
I have a lot of pictures of stuff that i've created and I am very excited to share them all.

We are now waiting for little Nicolas to be ready to be born, as I am 8 1/2 months pregnant.
A boy and a Girl, yes!
